Madonna Tickets
Background
Madonna is the ageless performer who has been changing herself since her birth in 1958. Born Madonna Louise Ciccone, the artist originally had aspirations to become a ballet dancer, but those thoughts changed after met Dan Gilroy while touring with Patrick Hernandez as a professional dancer in 1979.
Madonna and Gilroy formed the rock group the Breakfast Club. The group lasted for one year before she left the group and formed another duo, called Emmy, with Stephen Bray. The group produced dance songs and gained enough notice to get the attention of Sire Records.
Madonna initially released only singles for the label. After the success of “Everybody” and “Burning Up”, she was signed to a record deal and immediately released a self-titled album that went platinum five times. The album established her on the dance scene as the ultimate party girl and she followed with three number one albums- Like A Virgin in 1984, True Blue in 1986, and Like a Prayer in 1989.
While the albums burned up the charts and her singles dominated the dance scene, Madonna took advantage and began to develop a limit pushing image with her sexuality and her artistic direction. The ‘90s saw her pinnacle moment as boundary pusher when she sang “Like A Virgin” with extreme sexual innuendo on stage and released a video for “Justify My Love” that was banned from MTV for its suggestive sexual and homosexual imagery.
Madonna continued to push the sexual landscape until the mid-90s when she took a break from singing and began to focus on a film career. She played to rave reviews for smaller roles in films like Four Rooms and her major roles in films like Evita. The change in direction saw her move toward a more mature image, one that came through in her album Ray of Light when it was released in 1998.

Her career saw her slowly return to a more sex driven image soon after. Madonna is now back with what she hopes to be her 11th straight studio album to go platinum. Hard Candy has already produced one hit single (“4 Minutes”) and is soon starting a tour of North America and Europe.
