The members of Wild Child grew up together. The guitarist used to listen to radio constantly as a teenager. Wild Child started playing at high school parties. Music of the 1970s heavily influenced the early work of the band.

The years of paying their dues paid off when Wild Child signed a record deal. All the members quit their day jobs to focus on their music.

Wild Child knew they had finally made it as soon as the band’s first fan club was started in 1978 by Sandra Prather. The club started out in Austin with a handful of members, but grew tremendously once their singles started getting national air time.

The band may have recently finished their newest release, but they are thinking of what is to come next. Wild Child see this tour as a chance to expose a new audience to their music.
